Alissa began her training at Sotheby's in New York, and has led auctions at Bonhams & Butterfields and Heritage Auctions. Leading 4-6 auctions per month, Alissa has worked as a full-time professional auctioneer and appraiser for the past 7 years. She led her first charity auction for the Festival of the Children Foundation hosted by Olivia Newton John and since has conducted an array of auctions for various organizations throughout California. While Alissa's professional training as an auctioneer has proved great success she also believes that her auction abilities stem from her family history, as her grandmother was a female auctioneer in the late 40s and early 50s. Alissa holds great pride in being a female auctioneer in a predominantly male field and carries on the passion that her grandmother possessed 70 years earlier. When she's not on stage auctioneering, Alissa is the Director of California Paintings at Heritage Auctions (www.HA.com), specializing in late 19th / early 20th century California & American paintings.
